Graveside services for Johnnie Mae Stripling, 92 of Tyler, are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Monday, March 7, 2016 in Rock Hill Cemetery outside of Chandler with Rev. James Cheatham officiating and under the direction of Jackson's Burks Walker Tippit funeral home. Johnnie was born on May 29, 1923 in McCrory, Arkansas to Samuel and Nannie Ramsey Gamel and passed away on Friday, March 4, 2016 in Tyler. She was a Methodist and had worked as a hairdresser until her retirement. She is survived by her children, Rick and D'Ann Stripling of Tyler, Peter and Janette Tkach of Winona; sisters, Hildred Simmons, Mary Smith and Freda Natriello; grandchildren, Travis Stripling, Stefanie Adair, Luke Tkach and Amy Key; and four great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Orth Stripling and daughter Virginia Dale Jones. Published in Tyler Morning Telegraph on Mar. 6, 2016
