Loretta Vieregge, 85, of Malakoff went home to the Lord on March 4, 2016 in Athens. Loretta was born on Nov. 13, 1930 to Ernest Stout and Mary Louise Thigpen Stout in Dekalb, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Mary Louise Stout, her soul mate Lewis Vieregge, son David Vieregge, sisters Shirley Hilton, Joy Getzie, brothers Billy Joe Stout, Charles Stout, Ernest Stout Jr., and Lucky Stout. She is survived by her daughters Kathy Vieregge, Carolyn & husband Jerry Land, son Rick & wife Debbie Vieregge, brothers Jerry & wife Linda Stout, Billy & wife Linda Stout, sisters-in-law Dorothy Stout, Bettie & husband Allen Mitchell, Joyce & husband Ray Downs. Her legacy continues on with her grandchildren Justin Vieregge, Josh Vieregge and fiancé Kelsey Reed, Jennifer & husband Bobby Little, Jarrod & wife Courtney Land, and great-grandchildren Knox and Camden Vieregge, and Clayton Land and numerous nieces and nephews, family and friends. Visitation will be Sunday, March 6 from 2-3 p.m. at First Baptist Church, Malakoff. Service will follow at 3 p.m. Bro. Casey Perry and Bro. Jody Jones will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Josh Vieregge, Jarrod Land, Bobby Little, Tommy Tanner, Luke Odenthal, and Mike Monroe. Honorary Pallbearers will be Justin Vieregge, Tony Stout, Ronald Hilton, Curtis Hall, Casey Stout, Rodney Stout, Randy Stout, and Richard Stout. Interment will be at Malakoff Cemetery.
