Bio

Lucy Rebecca Moore was the daughter of Riley Moore and Emily Rebecca Johnson. She married Daniel Clarence Rich on June 19, 1901 in Lake Charles, Calcasieu Parish, Louisiana. They were the parents of Goldie, Sylvester, Ommie, Gertrude, Henry, Daniel Jr, and Jack. Her husband, Daniel, passed away in 1931. Lucy married James Jefferson Burnett, Jr. on March 12, 1932. She abandoned the marriage and the couple divorced on May 30, 1935. Mrs. Rich, 69, of Moss Bluff passed away on October 16, 1954. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and son, Daniel Clarence Rich, Jr. Survivors include two daughters: Goldie Grace Long and Gertrude Estelle Horning; four sons: Sylvester Clarence Rich, Ommie Riley Rich, Henry William Rich and Jack Rich; 17 grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren. Funeral services were held at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Al Long of Moss Bluff. Burial was in Ritchie Cemetery under the direction of Hixson's Funeral home.
