The burial will be held at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA Born December 25, 1923 in Morgan Texas, Jeffa Ogden Dettinger grew up on a farm outside of Meridian, TX and graduated from Meridian High School in 1941. After graduation, she moved to Ft Worth, where she met her first husband, Jack Cook, a pilot in the Army Air Corps. He was shot down and killed over Germany in 1944. Jeffa went to work at Carswell AFB after the war, and met her second husband, Ryan Taylor, from Burleson, TX. Ryan was a navigator and bombadier on B-24s during WWII and completed 36 missions over Europe. Jeffa and Ryan enjoyed 47 years together, traveling the world while he was an officer in the US Air Force. Ryan passed away in San Antonio, TX, where he and Jeffa retired. Jeffa then moved to Virginia to be near her daughter and her family. She met her third husband, Dr Garth Dettinger at the retirement home in Ft Belvoir. Garth was also a WWII pilot as well as a medical doctor, retiring as a USAF Major General. Always one to take on new adventures, Jeffa moved to the Denver area 16 months ago to be near her daughter, son-in-law and their children.
