Bio

Rose Marie Muir, was the youngest of two children born the daughter of William and Margaret (Kleinholz) Schuster, on April 1, 1926 in Dorchester, Nebraska. She passed away Tuesday, March 1, 2016, at her home in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 89. Rose Marie grew up on a farm near Dorchester and graduated from Dorchester High School. On January 22, 1945 she married Duane Miller. They first made their home in York, Nebraska and soon after, returned to Duane’s home town of Beaver Crossing. The couple had three children, Ann Marie, Douglas Duane (who passed away at birth) and an adopted son, Alan Lee. Duane passed away in May of 1959. In April of 1960, Rose Marie married Clayton Muir, a widower with five children. In 1961 the family moved to Lincoln, Nebraska, where Rose Marie owned a hair styling salon and Clayton, a barber shop. They enjoyed traveling around the country on Clayton’s Harley Davidson motorcycle for many years. Survivors include: daughter, Ann White; step-daughters, Teresa Click and Lisa Hartshorn; sons, Gene and Alan Muir; and sister, Catherine Reed. Rose Marie was preceded in death by: parents; son, Douglas Duane; step-son, David Muir; and her husbands, Duane Miller in 1959 and Clayton Muir. Graveside service on Saturday, March 5, 2016, at the Beaver Crossing Cemetery. Obituary information from Lauber Moore Fuenral Home.
