Bio

Edwin Peter Sulik, Sr., 84, passed away on Friday, March 27, at home with his family by his side. The family will receive friends at 5 p.m. Saturday at Memorial Funeral Chapel in Bryan with a rosary to be recited at 5:30 p.m. A celebration of his life is set for 3 p.m. Sunday, March 29, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bryan with Monsignor John McCaffrey officiating. Military honors will follow the service. Ed served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. He attended Sam Houston State Teacher's College and the University of Houston. Ed was the Administrator of Sherwood Health Care in Bryan from 1967 to 1990. He then served as corporation consultant of Sulik Health Services. Ed dedicated his life to serving his community. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, life member of the Knights of Columbus Council 1834 and the Elks Lodge. Ed was preceded in death by his wife, Bonny Jo (Robertson) Sulik; son, Frank Sulik, one sister and three brothers. Survivors include his daughters and son-in-law, Lynda Beard, of Bryan, Deborah and Allie Mysliwy, of Woodinville, Wash.; sons and daughters-in-law, Edwin Peter "Pete" Jr. and Kolleen Sulik, John and Julie Sulik, all of College Station; brother, Alfred Sulik and sister, Elsie Powell, both of Houston; grandchildren, Bonnie Beard and husband, Brian Rush, Chuck Beard, Laine Sulik, Shon Short and Cierra Lueck and husband, Benjamin; great-grandchildren, Journey and Israel Lueck. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic School.
