OKLAHOMA CITY Hasenbeck, James Fredrick “Jim,” 81, died Feb. 25. Services 11 a.m. Tuesday (Smith & Kernke, N May, Oklahoma City). Published in The Oklahoman, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Saturday, February 27, 2016, Page 8A. James "Jim" Fredrick Hasenbeck, of Oklahoma City, passed away on February 25, 2016, surrounded by family, at the age of 81. Jim was born May 25, 1934 to Henry and Etta Hasenbeck in a farm house located between Fletcher and Elgin, Oklahoma, and was the youngest of three sons. He was preceded in death by his Mother and Father, and brothers Bill and Charlie. He is survived by his wife, KC; son, Jim; daughter, KiLynn; son, Jay; and grandchildren, Taylor, Spencer, Blair, Alex, Clair, and Josh. Jim graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in 1956 from Oklahoma State University (OSU) in Agronomy. After graduating from OSU, Jim spent many years in the insurance industry serving as President of Casualty Corporation, and Vice President of Mark Twain Life. He also had interest in the oil and gas industry serving as President of HASNECO and KJKJ. Jim was one of the original founders of the OSU Posse Club serving as President in the early 1960's. He lovingly enjoyed family, playing golf, and OSU sporting events. Services will be held at 11 a.m. on March 1, 2016, at the Smith & Kernke Chapel, 14624 N. May Ave., Oklahoma City. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery, 13313 N Kelly Ave., Oklahoma City. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to OSU Foundation College of Agriculture Student Scholarship Fund.
