Bio

Second Lieutenant Guttery served with the 483rd Bomb Group, 818th Bomb Squadron, MacDill Field, Florida. He was killed in the line of duty when B-17F Flying Fortress #42-6147 collided with a mountain, three miles west of Rich Mountain, in Randolph County, West Virginia. Crew members perished: 1LT William R. Sablotny 2LT Kenneth A. Johnson 2LT Melvin M. Feiman 2LT Nolan E. Guttery SGT George H. Gossert SGT Joseph P.
