Bedford Gazette Thursday, August 5, 1948 Vol. 143, No. 48 Page 2 Obituary Mrs. Laura McElfish. Mrs. Laura (Fletcher) McElfish died in the Cumberland hospital Wednesday, July 25, of an embolism. A daughter of William and Nancy (Weimer) Fletcher, she was born Sept. 29, 1887. She was married to Ralph G. McElfish Aug. 5, 1906. She is survived by her husband and these children: Mrs. Helen Ryan, Cumberland; Mr. Dorothy Hartsock, Flintstone R. 1: Harold McElfish, Dallas, Texas. Also surviving are a brother, William Fletcher, Martins Mountain, and two sisters, Mrs. Amanda Shipley, Artemas, and Mrs. Larry Robinette, Cumberland.
