Max Slayton Funeral Home Lavicia Lawhorn Fountain of Terrell went to be with her Lord and Savior on February 12, 2016 in Mesquite, Texas. Lavicia was born March 6, 1922 in Kaufman County, Texas to the late Jessie Sewell and Martha Josephine Walker Lawson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husbands: James Holton Lawhorn and James L. Fountain; son, Michael Lawhorn; son in law, W.T. Rigney; grandson, Chad Lawhorn; great grandson Kevin Eugene Daniels; 4 brothers and 3 sisters. Lavicia worked for Ranger Boot Factory for several years until joining Southland Athletic where she worked for 37 years while at the same time raising her 6 children after the passing of her husband in 1960. She was a dedicated and devoted member of First Baptist Church of Terrell for many years until her health began to decline. She had a vast love for her children and siblings and she and her sister started an annual family reunion over 40 years ago. A true Proverbs 31 woman, her love for her Lord and her family are wonderful testaments of her strength and faith. Funeral service will be Tuesday, February 16, 2016 at First Baptist Church of Terrell with interment to follow at Oakland Memorial Park.
