Elsie Bravenec Mikeska passed away in Bellville, Texas on Thursday, February 11, 2016. Elsie was born on November 8, 1943 in Bellville, Texas to Jerry and Alvina Bravenec. She grew up in the Oak Hill Community and attended Bellville schools graduating from Bellville High School in 1962. In August of 1962, she married the love of her life, Johnnie William Mikeska Jr. Johnnie and Elsie had two children, Larry and Theresa. She loved her children and grandchildren very much. She was a proud mom and grandma. She enjoyed flowers and vegetable gardening, baking birthday cakes and other goodies for her children when they were young. Elsie is survived by her children Larry and girlfriend Stephanie, daughter Theresa and husband Todd Roulston, grandchildren Beth and Caleb Mikeska, brother and sister in law James and Janie Hrachovy and her four nieces Cindy, Susan, Julie, and Sara, great nieces and nephews and cousins. Preceded in death by her husband and parents. Visitation is scheduled from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 14, 2016, at Knesek Bros Funeral Chapel, 842 East Main, Bellville, TX. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Monday, February 15, 2016, at Nelsonville Brethren Church, 902 Church Road, Nelsonville, TX. Interment will follow at Susen Cemetery, Skalak Road, Nelsonville, TX.
