Bio

Childress – Walter Lee Loter, age 63, died at 8:05 p.m. Wednesday, March 23, 1966 in the Nesbitt hospital in Canyon following a five week illness. Mr. Loter, who lived in Amarillo, was a former Childress resident and the brother of T. A. Loter and Willie Loter. He was born in Childress county and moved to Amarillo about 15 years ago. Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. John Blanchi and Mrs. Cal Williams of Amarillo; two brothers, T. A. and Willie Loter of Childress; three sisters, Mrs. Nora Kinsey of Happy, Mrs. Florence Lesley of Dallas and Mrs. Lillie Anderson of Abilene; and five grandchildren. Funeral service was held Friday at 2 p.m. from Blackburn-Shaw chapel in Amarillo. Burial was in the Llano cemetery in Amarillo. Published March 31, 1966. The Childress Index.
