Fort Bend Herald, February 9, 2016: Ernest Herbert Mesecke, Jr., 76, of Needville, Texas passed away on February 7, 2016 at his residence. He was born November 22, 1939 in Needville, Texas to Ella (Bettin) Mesecke and Ernest Herbert Mesecke, Sr. Ernest worked in the oil field business for over 48 years. His hobbies included hunting, fishing and gardening. Ernest also loved to cook and participate in BBQ Cook-Offs. This loving father, brother, grandfather and friend will be missed. In addition to his parents, Ernest is preceded in death by his first wife, Martha Rowe Mesecke; 2nd wife, Darlene Mesecke; and brother, Leroy Mesecke. Survivors include his children, Michelle Mesecke, Kimberly Connell and husband, Bill, and Kevin Mesecke; step daughters, Cinda Kortan and Deborah Kortan; brothers, Alton and Marvin Mesecke; grandchildren, Katherine Connell, Cameron Mesecke, Cody Mesecke, and Phillip Lehew; great grandchildren, Jordyn, Trevor, Makynlee, Aria and one on the way; along with extended family and friends. Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., Friday, February 12, 2016 in the State Room of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home in Rosenberg. The funeral service will be held at 9:00 a.m., Saturday, February 13, 2016 in the Chapel of Davis-Greenlawn Funeral Home with burial following at Greenlawn Memorial Park in Rosenberg.
