Bio

The Telegraph Herald – October 30, 1949 Arlington, Ia. – Services for Morris Everett Thompson, 75, who died Wednesday at his home here, were Friday afternoon at the Church of Christ with the Rev. William H. Seely officiating. Burial was in the Taylorsville Cemetery. Thompson was born Dec. 1, 1873 in Fairfield Township, Fayette County, the son of Morris and Katherine (Holman) Thompson. With the exception of a short time during his childhood his entire life was spent on the farms in Fayette County. He retired in 1941 to Arlington. On March 12, 1902, he married Myra Nace. Besides his wife he is survived by a son, Edwin, of Cedar Rapids, Ia., a daughter, Mrs. Nedra Wells, of Madison, Wis., and five grandchildren. He was preceded by his parents, a sister, three half-sisters and five half-brothers.
