Burial Sept 19th, Jeffers, MN *Death Date of 1958 suggested by FAG Julie Twedt, unsourced ∼ Funeral Services Held For Mrs. C. Uhlenhopp Funeral services for Mrs. Grace Uhlenhopp were held from the Jeffers Methodist church Tuesday afternoon with the Rev. D. Price Lackey officiating. Mrs. I. E. Illsley and Mrs. John Brand sang "Back of the Clouds" and "Abide with Me". Mrs. Joseph Bigbee was organist. The casket bearers were Otto Pufahl, T. H. Menkem, John Saathoff, Robert Fisk, William Holck, and Elmer Pankonin. Burial was in the Jeffers cemetery. Grace Brinkmann was born on October 29, 1872, at Ackley, Iowa, and passed from this life on Friday, September 15, 1961, at the age of 88 years, 10 months, and 15 days. On June 16, 1891, she was united in marriage with Chris Uhlenhopp, Allison, Butler County, Iowa. To this union, seven children were born. She was preceded in death by her husband, two sons, Jake and Martin, and one grandson, Rodney. Their early married life was spent in farming in Iowa, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. For the past six and a half years she has made her home with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Benn Feldrick, at Aplington, Iowa. Others who survive her passing are three sons, Chris and Dick of Windom, Harvey of Jeffers, and another daughter, Mrs. Lee Oberle of Cedar Falls, Iowa, eight grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, one sister, four brothers, other relatives, and many friends. --newspaper, September 1961
