Alton Philbrick Services Friday Alton Philbrick, a life-long resident of Valley county in business here as a well driller for 28 years, died Monday, Mar. 19 at the Nebraska Methodist Hospital in Omaha. He was 62 years old. The son of Claude and Anna Kasper Philbrick he was born Dec. 29, 1910 and attended school in Valley County. On June 16, 1938 he was united in marriage to Mabel VanSlyke in Grand Island. He was a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors with his wife of Ord are a son Allen also of Ord; a daughter, Mrs. Alyce Timmerman of Omaha, three grandchildren; sisters Mrs. Hazel Guggenmos, Ord, Mrs. Melba Jung, San Gabriel, Calif., Mrs. Edith Shatto, San Luis Obispo, Calif., Mrs. Dorothy Horner, Burwell and a brother, Cylvan of Sargent. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant brother. Funeral services are set for Friday afternoon at the United Methodist Church of Ord. Burial will be in Ord City Cemetery.
