Bio

QUANAH — Bernerd Roger “B.R.” Foster Jr., 95, of Quanah died Monday, Feb. 1, 2016. Services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Joseph Jones and the Rev. Wayne Hollinshead officiating. Burial will follow in Goodlett Cemetery. Arrangements are by Smith Funeral Home of Quanah. Mr. Foster was born April 7, 1920, to Bernerd Roger and Maude St. Clair Foster. He married Doris Driver Foster on Aug. 3, 1947, in Quanah. Survivors include three daughters, Janis Singletary and Kathi Beimer, both of Quanah, and Lyndi Shadbolt of Amarillo; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to First Baptist Church of Quanah Music Department. (Published in Amarillo Globe-News, Feb. 4, 2016)
