It is with heavy heart that I bring the news that my beloved mother, Ann Bodenhamer passed away today. I know that many of you have kept us in your prayers and we soo apreciate all the love and care we have received. I will follow up with details as soon as we work them out. She was the best mom and teacher that I could have ever hoped for, she will be missed. The visitation for Ann Bodenhamer will be from 4-6 at Davis Morris Funeral in Brownwood. The gravesite service will be Monday at 2pm at Rocky Creek Cemetary. Courtesy of son, Jack Bodenhamer. ************************************ Marjorie Ann Bodenhamer February 15, 1948 - January 29, 2016 Obituary Marjorie was born in Brownwood on February 15, 1948 to James Ellis Seward and Connie Louise Seward. She graduated from Brownwood High School and went on to graduate from Howard Payne University, making the President's List. Marjorie was a follower of Jesus and always spoke of the two callings she received from the Lord, to be a mom and to be a teacher. Marjorie had three sons, Jeff Ellis, James Bodenhamer and Jack Bodenhamer. Her children were her life and motivation. She rejoiced in teaching them in the home, in the church, and even in school. Marjorie never hesitated to sacrifice her own well being for her children, and the love she shared was the love of the Lord lived out in her life. This love for her family was not reserved only for her children. Her parents, her daughters-in-law, her brother and her best friend and sister Becky Ceniceros were her world. Being a teacher was Marjorie's second calling and the place where she became not only an educator, but also a surrogate parent to many. She taught English in the Mason, Shallowater, Duncanville, Rising Star, Comanche, and Sweetwater School districts, mostly to 8th graders. After retirement she continued to substitute teach in the Brownwood School district. She loved her students beyond the classroom and worked hard to open their minds to literature and culture. In the last year Marjorie added a third calling, that of being grandmother to her two grandchildren. This calling was the source of great joy in what was an otherwise very difficult year. Marjorie Ann Bodenhamer was preceded in death by her son Jeff Ellis, and her father. She is survived by her mother, Sons: James Bodenhamer and wife Brook of Fredericksburg, Texas, Jack Bodenhamer and wife Kim of Waco, Texas; grandchildren James Ellis and a baby on the way; brother: David Seward and wife Sylvia of Copperas Cove; sister and best friend Becky Ceniceros of Ashboro; many cousins and other relatives, friends, and former students. Thank you to all her friends in the Grosvenor Baptist Church, Marketplace apartments, and Gentiva Hospice.
