Martha Elizabeth Prasifka Hunt, 87, of Hutchins, Texas passed away peacefully on Wednesday afternoon, January 27, 2016 in Red Oak, Texas. Martha was born on April 24,1928 in Dallas, Texas, to Tom and Agnes (Dobecka) Prasifka. On June 22, 1966, she was married to Daniel Morgan Hunt. Martha was a member of KJZT #108, SPJST #25 and St. Francis Catholic Church. Martha worked for 30 plus years at Sears & Roebuck before retiring. Martha loved and enjoyed many things which included bowling, flowers, country dancing, fishing, canasta and playing 42. Martha also had another love which was shopping, especially if she could find a bargain. On many occasions, she would load up some of the nieces and nephews in her Cadillac and drive all over town to retrieve whatever items she saw on sale. Martha would also clip coupons to ensure that she got a bargain. She was preceded in death by her husband Dan on May 19, 2008; parents; sister Evelyn Macik; brothers Frank Prasifka, and Jerry Prasifka, who passed away ten days ago. Martha is survived by her brothers: Louis Prasifka and wife Lou Ann of Hutchins; Tim Prasifka and wife Dorothy of Hutchins; sister-in-law Barbara Prasifka of Hutchins; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and other family and friends. . Arrangements by Byrum Funeral Chapel, 425 North Dallas Avenue, Lancaster, TX, Visitation at Byrum Funeral Chapel on Friday, January 29, 6PM-8PM with Rosary at 7PM. Mass and Burial at Calvary Hill Mausoleum, North Chapel, 3235 Lombardy Lane, Dallas, TX. Martha has joined her many family members in her heavenly life.
