VICTORIA - Irene C. Heibel, 77, of Victoria, joined her Heavenly Family on January 24, 2016. She was born April 28, 1938 in Cordele, TX to the late Henry and Angelina Sbrusch Novak. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and an Altar Society member for many years. She loved her family dearly, loved to socialize, garden, flowers, nursing home activities and her Czech heritage but mostly loved God and her faith. She is survived by her son, Jonathan Heibel (Kim), daughter, Rebecca Gibbs (David), all of Victoria; sisters, Hermina Novak, Gladys (Donald) Orsak, Margie (Ronald) Bridges and Rita (Michael) Waymire; brothers, George (Jeanie) Novak, Ervan Novak and Silvester (Sherry) Novak; grandchildren, Jacob (Cheyenne) Heibel, Jaymie Heibel, Jessica Heibel, Jon (Amy) Heibel, Misty (Kody) Boyd, Lacy (Kevin) Kline, Stephen Gibbs; and great grandchildren, Jakob and Austin Boyd, Owen Kline, Luke and Eleanor Heibel. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Harley Loyd Heibel and sister, Janet Novak. A visitation will be held from 6 to 7 pm, Thursday, January 28, 2016 at Colonial Funeral Home followed by a Rosary at 7:00 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 10:00 am, Friday, January 29, 2016. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jacob and Jon Heibel, Kody Boyd, Kevin Kline, Stephen Gibbs and Duane Barker. Honorary pallbearers are the Staff and Caretakers of Twin Pines.
