Bio
Wayne K. Zepp, 80, of Marysville, died Sunday, January 17, 2016. He was born August 18, 1935 in Osceola, Iowa to the late Lloyd and Nellie Zepp. He married Barbara Jean Peters on September 5, 1954 in Leon, Iowa. She died May 26, 2009. Mr. Zepp was a retired heavy equipment operator with Local #324. He was a former member of the Marysville Lions Club and Marysville Senior Golf League. He volunteered with St. Joseph Mercy Hospice and was a Gift of Life donor. He is survived by three children, Kevin (Mercedes) Zepp, Kim (Mark) Day and Lori (Don) Martin; four grandchildren, Erica (Jeff) Ripari, Heather (Lance) Campbell, Aaron (Rebecca) Zepp and Kristin (Ben) Pokriefka; 8 great grandchildren; a sister, Patricia Woods; and his sweetheart, Shirley "Sparkles" Rood. A memorial service will be held at 3PM on Saturday, January 23, 2016 in Marysville Funeral Home, 1200 Michigan Avenue. The Reverend Max Amstutz will officiate. The family will receive friends from 1-3 PM. Burial will be in Riverlawn Cemetery. Published in The Times Herald on Jan. 20, 2016.
