Bio

Son of Otha R. Simpson and Mary Francis (Kinnett) Simpson. SIMPSON, Artis D., 80, of Tampa, passed away Thursday, Feb. 27, 2003. Preceded in death by his wife, Virgie. He is survived by a son, Major Freels; daughters, Judy Campbell, Sheila Burkhart and husband, Douglas; five brothers, two sisters, nine grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren. He was a member of First United Methodist Church of Brandon, a Mason, a member of Scottish and York Rites and a Shriner in Indianapolis, Ind. Graveside services will be conducted 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 4, 2003 Lakeside Memorial Park, Winter Haven. The family will receive friends Monday afternoon from 3 til 5 p.m. at Stowers BrandonChapel, with a Masonic Service at 5 p.m. Those who wish may contribute to the First United Methodist Church of Brandon in his memory.
