Bio

A.B. Wyatt CHILDRESS - A.B. "Byron" Wyatt, 99, died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 1996. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Carey Baptist Church at Carey with the Rev. Johnny Robertson, pastor of First Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Tell Cemetery at Tell by Johnson Funeral Home. Mr. Wyatt was born in Wolfe City. He moved to Tell in 1919 and lived there until 1951 when he moved to Carey. He had been a farmer. He was a member of the Senior Citizens. He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie, in 1978, and two sons, Lewis Dewayne in 1936 and Edwin Wyatt in 1995. Survivors include two sons, J.B. Wyatt of Childress and Franklin Wyatt of Carey; a sister, Oma Houser of Childress; eight grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
