David Alvin Polansky, age 69, passed away on January 16, 2016 in Houston, Texas. David was born on December 24, 1946 to Evald Alvin and Sophia Budnik Polansky in Cameron, Texas. He grew up in Caldwell Texas and graduated from CHS in 1964. David served his country in the United States Marine Corp and was a member of the Mike Company, 3rd Battalion, 5th Marines, and was a Vietnam Veteran serving a tour there from 1965 – 1967. David was a member of the Military Order of Purple Heart, Veterans of Foreign War, and the American Legion. David graduated from Sam Houston State University in 1972. He loved to fly fish and fished in seven different states. David was of the Catholic faith. David was preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law, Bob Heavenridge. David is survived by his beloved wife of 30 years Denelle Polansky; brother: Patrick Polansky and wife, Debbie; sister: Kathryn McManus and husband, Vance; nephews: Don Polansky, Michael McManus and wife, Kim; Jeff McManus and wife, Charlotte; nieces: Anna Lisa Schielack and husband, Ronnie; Madline Dillard and husband, Joe; Deborah Horan and husband, Sean; brother-in-law, Dr. Robert M. Heavenridge and wife, Angela; mother-in-law, Nellie Heavenridge; ten great nieces and nephews; one great-great nephew; numerous cousins, P.J. the cat, and Cookie Alvin the bird. Pallbearers were Donald Polansky, Michael McManus, Jeff McManus, Ronnie Schielack, Joe Dillard, and Sean Horan. Honorary Pallbearers were Angleton Military Order of Purple Heart, Veterans of Foreign War, and the American Legion.
