OBITUARY; Permelia (Carson) Hughes Feb 20, 1844 - Mar 25, 1929 March 17, 1929 Mrs. Permelia Hughes Buried CORSICANA, Texas. March 17. - Funeral services for Mrs. Permelia Hughes, 86, resident of Navarro County for more than sixty years, who died at the residence of her son, A. R. Tickle, here were held at Purdon with burial in the Purdon Cemetery [Younger Cemetery]. Surviving are three sons, Mr. Tickle; Will Hughes of Hubbard, Joe Hughes of Enid, Ok.; three daughters, Mrs. Lillie Bolton of Corsicana, Mrs. Addie Kennemore of Purdon, Mrs. Mattie Shunk of Harlingen; eighteen grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, one brother, Joseph Carson of Blanket. She married Anguish McAllister Hughes in 1864. They divorced. She married Robert M. Tickle 5 May 1886 in Corsicana, Navarro Co., TX. She again married Anguish McAllister Hughes 7 Aug 1916 in Corsicana, Navarro Co., TX.
