Bio

Rosalie A. Bersig, 84, passed away at 9:45 a.m. Friday (Jan. 15, 2016) at her home in Effingham. Rosalie was born on March 24, 1931 in Jerseyville, the daughter of Orval and Jewell (Rose) Baker. She was a daycare provider for many years. Rosalie is survived by her son, Steve Bersig; five daughters, Carol (Roger) Behrens, Debbie Bersig, Linda (Rick) Seager, Janet (Terry) Charles and Peggy (Lola) Bersig; sister, Marilyn Pruemer; sister-in-law, Darlene Baker; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Rosalie was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Gary Baker; sister, Betty Rhodes and brother-in-law, Jerry Pruemer. Published in the Champaign, Illinois News-Gazette.
