Julia Louise Flatt Adamson of Gainesville, TX, passed away on Thursday, January 14, 2016, in Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital, Bedford, TX, at the age of 90. A celebration of her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2016, in the Falconhead Country Club Dining Room, in Burneyville, OK. Mrs. Adamson was born on Wednesday, June 10, 1925 at Leon, OK, the daughter of George Washington Flatt and Sherlott Lona Lane Flatt. In 1942, she left Love County to make her home in Tacoma, WA. However, she had been a resident of the Dallas, TX area most of her adult life. A homemaker and accomplished musician and singer, Julia loved gospel music. Her hobby was traveling with friends. Julia was preceded in death by her parents; husbands -- Loranzy Dow “Randy” Herron and Bernard Adamson; and two daughters -- Bonnie Sugg and Donna Herron; two sisters -- Viola Powell and Beatrice Flatt; and five brothers -- Will Flatt, Elmer Flatt, S.V. Flatt, Beeler Flatt, and Floyd Flatt. Survivors include: three sons and daughters-in-law -- Gary and Janet Herron of Euless, TX, Ray and Cheryl Herron of Suttons Bay, MI, and David and Vanetta Herron of Grandview, TX; daughter -- Denice McCafferty of Gainesville; stepdaughter, Cheryl Elam of Bridgeport, TX; and 16 grandchildren and 2
