Bio

Clifton E. Gibson, 93, of Robinson, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2016. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Wednesday, January 13, 2016, at Pecan Grove Funeral Home. A graveside service will be at 1 p.m., Thursday, January 14, in Robinson Cemetery with Pastor Brett Mills officiating. Clifton was born in Eddy, Texas, to the late Ennis and Flornie Gibson. He proudly served his country in U.S. Army during the European Theater of World War II. He married Bonnie S. Morris on February 19, 1977. Clifton retired from General Tire after 35 years of dedicated service. He loved gardening, telling jokes, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 38 years, Bonnie Gibson. Clifton is survived by his children, Teri Wilson Roberts, of Robinson, Sherry Pool and husband, Jimmy, of Valley Mills and Charles E. Wilson and wife, Apala, of Waco; grandchildren: Melissa Woodard, Stacy Woodard, Blake Mendoza, Stephanie Mendoza, Christopher Wilson, Craig Wilson, Michael Wilson, Lisa Odom, Charla Griffin and Dawn Wilson; great-grandchildren: Brandon, Taylor, Sydney, McKenzie, Riley, Patrick, Devyn, Andrew, Jonathan and Landry.
