Bio
Daughter of Robert & Alma (Loseke) Welch. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John's Lutheran Church, Shell Creek. Mabel attended District #8 Colfax County School. On April 25, 1933, Mabel was united in marriage to Elden Kaspar at St. John's Lutheran Church. While working with Elden on the farm, Mabel sold eggs and cream to a local store in Columbus. She also worked for Dale Electronics for a couple of years. In 1976 Elden and Mabel moved from the farm into Schuyler. Here they made their home the rest of their married life. Mabel was a life long member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Shell Creek where she was active in the ladies aide. She enjoyed fishing, playing cards, and gardening. She was a member of the 20th Century Club and the Happy Circle Club. Mabel is survived by: Son - Robert (Carol) Kaspar of Schuyler, NE Daughter - Darlene McCray of Hibbing, MN 6 Grandchildren 9 Great Grandchildren Mabel was preceded in death by: Husband - Elden Kaspar Brother - Pete Welch Sister - Maggie Mackenstadt Sister - Annie Bridges Sister - Vera Loseke Son-in-law - Don McCray
