Arnold Frank Bohuslav, 84, of Hallettsville, passed away Jan. 11, 2016. He was born on Sept. 12, 1931 to Bohumil & Lillie Holub Bohuslav in Lavaca County, TX. He married Gene Marie Halata on June 12, 1955 at Ascension of our Lord Catholic Church of Moravia. He was a member of VFW of Hallettsville, KJT, Knights of Columbus, American Legion of Moulton, Lavaca County Soil & Water Conservation Director for 52 years, and Ascension of our Lord Catholic Church of Moravia. Arnold is survived by: his wife Gene Marie; son Gary Bohuslav & wife Jacki of Sherman, TX; 4 daughters, Rene Matula & husband Mark of Mansfield, TX, Beverly Jansky & husband Patrick of Hallettsville, Jackie Bludau & husband Billy of Hallettsville, and Pam Muenster & husband Darren of Austin; 4 brothers, Marvin, Clarence, Daniel and Franklin Bohuslav; and 10 grandchildren, Garrett Bohuslav, Jami Blackburn, Heather Bohuslav, Lydia Matula, Hannah Matula, Erin Jansky, Emilie Jansky, Alex Bludau, Robbie Muenster, and Logan Muenster. Arnold was preceded in death by: his parents; sister Margie Anders, half-sister Anita Thurman; and granddaughter Annie Maye Bohuslav. Funeral Mass Service: 10 am, Friday, Jan. 15 2016, at Ascension of our Lord Catholic Church of Moravia. Visitation: 4 pm, Thursday, at Kubena Funeral Home with Rosary starting at7 pm. Pallbearers: Mark Matula, Patrick Jansky, Billy Bludau, Darren Muenster, Garrett Bohuslav, Alex Bludau, and Logan Muenster. Officiant: Msgr. John Peters. Burial: Ascension of our Lord Catholic Cemetery.
