Tommy is buried in this cemetery. He is suppose to have a military marker but the last time I was there, probably within last 5 years, he still did not have a marker. He is buried in close proximity to his brother Charles Ray Shipley and son Mark Alan Shipley. Tommy was a son of Claude Shipley & Edith C. Hamilton Shipley Obituary: Thomas J. Shipley died Saturday, March 2, in a hospital in Snellville, Ga. Funeral services will be held from the Anderson-Clayton Bros. Funeral Home Chapel in Terrell at 2 p.m. Tuesday with Dr. Eldon Irving officiating. Interment will follow in Oakland Memorial Park in Terrell. Thomas Jefferson Shipley was born June 9, 1922 in Kaufman County, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Claude Shipley. He was retired from Ford Motor Company after 20 years of service. He was a member of Rosemont Christian Church of Dallas. Mr. Shipley is survived by his wife, Lamerle Harper Shipley of Lilburn, Ga.; two sons, Eddie Shipley of Raleigh, N.C. and Mark Shipley of Dallas; two daughters, Linda Nicholson and Kay St. John, both of Lawrenceville, Ga.; one sister, Betty Wooley of Springtown; several grandchildren and other relatives
