According to 1920 US Census, immigration from Bohemia 1912 Married prior to immigration. Oldest three children immigrated with parents: Josie, Frank, and Anna Janicek Widowed sister of James, Josie Klima, also immigrated in 1912 along with her children Martha, Anna, and Marie and living in same household of James and Josephine. Omaha World-Herald (Omaha, Nebraska) Tuesday 12 July 1932 Page 15: James Janicek James Janicek, 64, resident of Omaha for 30 years, died suddenly Monday afternoon following a heart attack. He was found in the yard of his home, after he had fallen from the low branches of a tree, where he had been seated. He was a cabinet maker by trade. Surviving are his widow, Josephine; five daughters, Mrs. Josephine Bulka, Mrs. Bessie McLain, Anna and Rose, all of Omaha, and Mrs. Martha Sklenar of Wahoo; two sons, Frank of Omaha and Adolph of Lincoln; three brothers and a sister. The body is at Brewer Korisko mortuary.
