Bio
Funeral services for Louise York Parker, 78 of Elkhart, will be held 2:00 PM Thursday, January 7, 2016, at Bailey & Foster Chapel, with Rev. Darren York and Rev. Gary York officiating. Burial will follow in Pilgrim Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Bailey & Foster. Mrs. Parker passed away Sunday, January 3, 2016, at her home. She was born February 25, 1937, in Anderson County to Coy York and Katie Ingram York. She was the glue that held the family together, and enjoyed playing with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mrs. Parker was preceded in death by her parents, husband James Parker, sons Darrell Parker and Randy Parker, grandson Nicholas Parker, brother, Robert York, sisters, Billie Faulkner, Gay Jones, and Wanda York. She is survived by daughters Joyce Shipp and Pam Stewart, sister, Minnie Martin, brothers, Henry York and Gary York, nine grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren, and three great great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Greg Taylor, Guy Stewart, David Moore, William Grant, Alex Grant, Freddie Cooksey, and Grant Noel. Honorary pallbearers will be grandsons and granddaughters. Condolence calls will be received from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Wednesday, January 6, 2016, at Bailey & Foster.
