Douglas M.Price August 23,1944-December 31,2015 Douglas M.Price, 71, passed away on Dec 31, 2015 at Good Samaritan Health Care Center. He was born on Aug 23, 1944 in Alliance to Glenn H. and Pauline(Estes)Price of Hemingford. Doug graduated from Hemingford High School in 1962 and then attended Chadron State College graduating with a degree in Industrial Arts. He married July L. Nielsen on June 5, 1966 in Alliance. In 1969 he began working for Burlington Northern Railroad as a clerk and hostler and worked there until his retirement. He was a member of the United Methodist Church and the Community Choir. He was a former member of the Hemingford Volunteer Fire Department, Alliance Jaycees and had served previously in the Nebraska National Guard. He loved woodworking and was an avid fisherman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Dale and Dwain Price and his brother-in-law, Butch Yowell. Memorial services will be January 7 at the United Methodist Church. Inurnment will be in the church columbarium.
