He was the son of Lowry Charles WIMBERLY and Ida May BOYNTON. He married Julia Christine ADCOCK 4 JUL 1942 in Oneonta, Blount County, Alabama, daughter of William ADCOCK and Cena MURPHREE. She was born 15 DEC 1915 in Rossville, Walker County, Georgia.
