Alma M. Mynar, 93, of Caldwell passed away peacefully Wednesday, December 23, 2015 in Caldwell. Alma was born in the Prairie Dale Community of Burleson County to parents Frank Havemann and Margaret (Able) Havemann. She married Edward Mynar June 2, 1940 in the Birch Community. She worked as a nurse’s aide for nearly 15 years showing her care giving heart. She loved fishing, her grandchildren and meeting people, she also enjoyed working in her yard. She was a very devoted Christian loving her Savior. Mrs. Mynar was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Edward Mynar; a son, Ben Edward Mynar; 3 sisters, Ruby Jahns, Edna DeForke, and Ellanor Homeyer; and 3 brothers, Alex Havemann, Roy Havemann, and Frankie Havemann. She is survived by a sister, Margaret Knesek of Caldwell, TX; a brother-in-law Eugene Homeyer of LaGrange, TX; 2 grandsons, Kenneth Mynar and Ben Edward Mynar II and wife Danette; a step grandson, Donny Baron Jr.; 3 great granddaughters, Kacee Peterson and husband Joseph, Korey Dodson and husband Cole, and April Mynar; a great grandson, Triston Mynar; 3 step great grandchildren Shane, Ashley and Joshua Baron; and also by 1 great-great grandson, Bentley Dodson. A Chapel service will be held at the Phillips & Luckey Chapel, with Bro. Delmar McCracken officiating. The Burial will be in the Caldwell Masonic Cemetery. The family will receive guests at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers are Alan Jahns, Vernon Havemann, Bob Havens, Shannon Deforke, Dustin Knesek, and Brett Knesek. Honorary pallbearers are Ricky Homeyer, Donny Frieda, Nicky Andrus, Ronny Knesek, Melvin Knesek, Michael Peters, and Roy Franklin Knesek. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Harmony Baptist Church building fund. (Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home)
