James R. Morris Sr., 78, of Cheyenne died Dec. 13 at his home. He was born Jan. 9, 1937, in Torrington to Hal E. and Betty Morris. He attended schools in both Torrington and Nebraska. He served his country in the United States Air Force. He moved to Cheyenne in 1974, where he was employed in the Communications Department with the Union Pacific Railroad until his retirement in 2001. Jim was a longtime member of the Moose Lodge. His hobbies included hunting and fishing. He is survived by his companion of many years, Chris Jones of Cheyenne; four sons, Michael Morris and Dave Morris, both of Cheyenne, Hal Morris of Casper and James R. Morris Jr. of Cheyenne; three daughters, Andrea Morris of Rock Springs, Linda Sutton of Cheyenne and Camilla Morris of Cheyenne; 13 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Bryan Morris; and three sisters, Carol Frahm, Judy Ankins and Norma Jean Morris. © Wyoming Tribune Eagle December 16, 2015
