Donald J.Schilz April 3,1930-December 9,2015 Donald J.Schilz, 85, of Minatare, died December 9, 2015 at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff. Don was born April 3, 1930 in Sidney, Nebraska to Mark and Leona (Heeg) Schilz. He received his education in Sidney, graduating from Sidney High School. He enlisted in the United States Army on December 7, 1951 and served his country until his honorable discharge on December 6, 1953. Don returned to the Sidney area where he met and married Maxine D. Jezek on April 21, 1956. The couple made their home in Kimball, NE, Sidney, NE, Clinton, UT, Oshkosh, NE, and Minatare, NE. Don worked hard and was a good provider for his family. He enjoyed fishing, camping, wood working, and working on vehicles. He was mellow and easy going. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Don was preceded in death by parents, his wife, brother Jim, and daughter Denise Schilz.
