Bio

Rhodie Myra (Kraatz) Nietsche, 91, of Schulenburg was called to rest on December 7, 2015. She was born to Arthur Kraatz and Emily (Schnell) Kraatz on August 11, 1924. Rhodie was married to Willie (Bill) Nietsche on September 27, 1953 at Saint Paul Lutheran Church in La Grange Tx. Rhodie is survived by her son Billy Nietsche and wife Christy along with her grandson Tracetyn of La Grange. A brother, Roger Kraatz of Houston and sister, Marion Kraatz of Hempstead. Rhodie is proceeded in death by her husband, parents, and brothers Dale and Wallace Kraatz. Rhodie was a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, baking, socializing with friends and neighbors and going to her church. She worked taking care of many children over the years in her home, all of whom she enjoyed and loved very much. Our family would like to thank everyone at Schulenburg Regency Nursing Home and South Texas Hospice for providing the best care to our loved one, Rhodie.
