Obituary from the Trenton Tribune , December 20, 1918. Transcription from the Leonard Historical Museum. MRS. ALICE PATTERSON....There are many sad hearts in the Orangeville community caused by the death of MRS. ALICE PATTERSON, who died at her home Monday morning at 7:30 o'clock of influenza and pneumonia. Rev. M. C. Dobbs, assisted by Elder Willie N. Carter, conducted the funeral services and burial was made in Burns cemetery Tuesday afternoon. Mrs. Patterson had been a member of the Methodist church for something like 45 years and her influence for good was felt in the community where she lived so long. She was a devoted wife, fond mother, good neighbor, true friend and consistent Christian. Surviving are her husband, four sons and two daughters as follows: Will Blanton of Cleburne, Claude Blanton of Canaan, Grayson county; Roscoe Patterson, Orangeville, Dee Patterson of Love Field, Dallas; and Mrs. Proctor Carter and Mrs. Jewell Smith, Orangeville.
