Ben L. Fatheree Jr., 82, passed away on Friday, November 27th, 2015 in Chickasha, Oklahoma. He was born on May 2, 1933 in Chickasha, Oklahoma to Velma (Wimms) and Ben L. Fatheree, Sr.. Ben grew up in the Chickasha area. He later lived in New Mexico for three years and in Texas for many years before moving to Fort Cobb, OK in the fall of 1989. He married Billie Jo Maddox on September 11, 1957 in Albuquerque, NM. He joined the U.S. Navy and served our country during the Korean War. After his time in the military he went to work in the oil and gas industry for many years. After his retirement from that job he became a truck driver instructor at Caddo Kiowa Technology Center in Fort Cobb. Ben was an avid horseman and loved spending time with his horses and his dogs. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and loved eating the fish he caught. He was always the first to make a joke and with a never ceasing twinkle in his eye, Ben loved to make those around him laugh. He was a member and a deacon of the Church of Christ in Fort Cobb. He is survived by: His wife, Billie Jo, Fort Cobb, OK 2 daughters; Terri Hoyt and her husband, Pete, of Flower Mound, TX Toni Williamson and her husband, Troy, of Albuquerque, NM 1 brother: Johnny Fatheree, Vacaville, CA 1 sister; Reba Keener, Nashville, TN 6 grandchildren: Makenzi Williamson, Hali Hoyt, Kelsi Klembara, Sarah Fatheree, Levi Williamson and Shane Sullivan He was preceded in death by his parents and his son, Ben L.
