Bio
Prentice was the son of Zillah Ellarine Lawson and Ace Lee Lambeth; brother of Callie Mae, Ethel O., Nora Lee, Daisy, Myrtle, Fay, Juanita, and Wavy Lambeth. Home in 1920: Justice Precinct 7, Erath, Texas In 1930, Prentice and his sisters, Juanita and Wavy, were living with Frank and May Yates in San Pedro, NM. Although Prentice's relationship to the head of household is listed as son, May was his paternal aunt. When the census was taken in 1940, Prentice and his wife, Lola, were living in Otto, NM, with their children, Joyce (age 6), Shirley (age 5), and Lonnie (age 2 months). When Prentice completed his WWII draft registration card in 1940, he and Lola were living in Moriarty, NM. Prentice served with the U.S. Army from September 29, 1943, through October 15, 1945. In 1958, Prentice and Lola were living in Delano, Kern County, CA, where he was employed as a labor contractor.
