Bio
Cary Erickson, age 41, went home to be with the Lord Thursday, November 19, 2015 in Pottsboro, Texas. Cary Dewitte Erickson was born October 1, 1974 in Garland, Texas; the son of Tommy Erickson and Linda (Conley) Taylor. Cary graduated from Pottsboro High School in 1993 and shortly after began working for his father’s printing company. Mr. Erickson worked at Tyson Foods as an equipment operator for the last few years. Cary was a talented musician who loved to write music and play his guitar. He was released from this earth into the heavens above where there is no more suffering. Mr. Erickson is survived by his family, father, Tommy Erickson and wife, Joyce, mother, Linda Taylor and husband, Joe, brother, Dusty Taylor, sisters, Dallas Pendergrass and husband, Randy, Jill Barnes and husband, Paul, Krista Braden and husband, Cevin and Kristi Sloan and husband, Casey, and numerous nieces and nephews. Interment at Old Kit Cemetery in Irving, Texas. Kit Cemetery was originated through land donated by Mr. Erickson’s family in the 1800’s. It is home to numerous historical markers and was one of the first cemeteries in Irving. You must now be a direct descendant of the Britain family to be buried within Kit Cemetery, which Cary earned through his lineage dating to his paternal great-grandmother.
