Lincoln police identified the victim as Thomas Sabatka. Police said a pickup truck driven by Sabatka had stalled on the viaduct at about 11 a.m. and the man had gotten out to work on the vehicle. Authorities said a van, driven by Christopher Carlberg, 30, of Omaha, then struck the pickup from the rear, throwing Sabatka over the side of the viaduct.
