Mary Stephenson SWEETWATER Mary L. Stephenson, 79, died Friday afternoon at a local hospital. Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Cate-Spencer Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Hobert Tomlinson and Bishop LaFoy Parker officiating. Burial will be in Sweetwater Cemetery. She was born in Bowie County. She lived in Sweetwater for the past 75 years and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy. Survivors include three sons, David Thompson and Boyce Thompson, both of Sweetwater, and Harman Thompson of Marshall; two step-sons, Doyle Stephenson of Brownwood and Gerald Stephenson of Bedford; a daughter, Dorthy Sawyers of Sweetwater; two step-daughters, Savada Foster of Roy, Utah. and Udena Day of Brownwood; a brother, Herbert Warwick of Longview, Wash.; a sister, Ida Wyatt of Fresno, Calif.; 15 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.
