MRS. ANNIE REID SERVICES HELD Funeral services for Mrs. Annie Bell Reid, 88, long-time Sweetwater resident, were held Monday at 10 a.m. in Patterson Chapel of Memories with the Rev. Richard Tarr, pastor of First Christian Church, officiating. She died at 2:55 p.m. Saturday in Star Nursing Home in Merkel. Former residence was 800 E. Ave. A. Mrs. Reid lived in Sweetwater for 62 years. Born in Hill County April 12, 1878, she married Ed H. Reid Aug. 27, 1896 in Nolan County. He preceded her in death two years ago. Burial was in Sweetwater Cemetery under direction of Patterson Funeral Home. Survivors are one son, Clint Reid of Sweetwater; one daughter, Mrs. C. W. Edwards of Trent; one sister, Mrs. Jake Miller of Huntington Park, Calif.; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
