OVA LEE CLANTON From the "News Journal," Drumright, Oklahoma, April 24, 1985 Ova Lee Clanton of 320 West Walnut in Drumright, Oklahoma passed away April 18, 1985 at Cushing Regional Hospital. Ova Lee Clanton was born February 13, 1903 at Sunbright, Tennessee to Samuel G. and Tempa Ida Hall. She came to Oklahoma with her family as a child. Married Ned Clanton in 1924 at Oklahoma City and moved to Drumright in 1925, from Yale, Oklahoma. Her husband preceded her in death on November 15, 1975. She was a 50-year member of the United Methodist Church and was active in several Civic Clubs including the Eastern Stars while her health permitted. Funeral services, under the direction of Bailes Funeral Home, were held 2:30 p.m. Saturday, April 20, at the United Methodist Church - Rev. Robert Tupper officiating. Interment was in the Oak Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers were: P.J. Stephenson, Cleo Hutchinson, Bill Scribner, Tom Caldwell, Lucian Mills, Dick Facker. Honorary pallbearers were: Charlie Daniel, Doyle Watson, A.B. Phillips, Haskell King, Jerome Cargill, A.D. Martin. Her survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Betty Jeanne Stephenson of Drumright; three grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Oma Ranson and Mrs. A.D. Martin; and one brother, James D. Hall.
