Bio
Vannie "V.A." McGee, 90, passed away peacefully on November 13, 2015 surrounded by loved ones in the home that he built. Services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 15, 2015, at the Anson Church of Christ with Joe Hailey officiating. Burial will be on the family ranch, directed by Adams-Graham Funeral Home of Anson. Born March 26, 1925 in Runnels Co., TX V. A. was a son of the late Edgar Earl and Ruby Mae (Harkins) McGee. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy in both World War II and Korea. V. A. was self-employed in construction and was a long time member of the Anson Church of Christ. He married the love of his life, Pat Dotson on August 15, 1953. V. A. was preceded in death by both parents, two brothers, and one sister. V. A. is survived by his wife Pat of Anson; and their two sons, Dr. Michael McGee (and wife, Kathy) of Anson and Herman McGee (and wife, Janet) of Abilene, and a friend, Dalia Jones of Breckenridge. V. A. will be lovingly remembered by his seven grandchildren, Travis McGee, Wendi Glasgow, Meghan McGee Ramirez, John Robert McGee, Callin McGee, Hailey Berry, and Cody Jones; and nine great-grandchildren.
