Ransom Bartholomew Spurlock, the first child of James Joshua and Ollie Samantha Martha Caroline Baker Spurlock; named for his grandfathers, Ransom Spurlock and Bartholomew Baker. Married Mary Mollie Chandler on Mar. 15,1905, Claiborne Parish and had children: Alice Lois,1905; Clayton Moody,1907; James William,1908. Mary Mollie's father may be C. W. Chandler or F. R. Chandler, both buried at Hurricane Cem. Rance B. shares a gravestone with wife in old section near other Spurlocks.
