Kaysville - Renee Duke Brown, age 83, peacefully passed away at home on Monday, November 9, 2015. Renee was born on October 8, 1932 in Heber City, Utah, the daughter of Sterling S. Duke and Velma Mary Ivie. Renee enjoyed sewing, cooking, dancing, reading, friends, family, camping, vacations and sweets! She was raised in Heber City and attended public schools, later graduating from Wasatch High School in 1950. She attended Hollywood Beauty School. She worked at J.C. Penny, Sprouse Ritz, City Bakery and as a cook for 10 years for the Davis School District. On December 2, 1960 Renee married the love of her life, Dee Glenn Brown Jr. Upon the completion of his degree at USU, the family moved to Farmington, UT. They have resided in Kaysville for 45 years, where they raised their five children. She was an active member of the LDS church, where she served in various Primary and Relief Society callings. She was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Renee was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Ferris; and sister, Clara. She is survived by her sister, Shirley Lee; brother, Jerry Duke; husband, Dee; five children: Roland (Laurie), Rachelle, Lavel, Pam (Bob) Feick and Dee Anna; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, November 14, 2015 at the Kaysville East Stake Center, 600 E 200 S. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist's Kaysville Mortuary, 400 N. Main St., and on Saturday from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the church. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
